ESTABLISHED THERMAL SUPPLIERS
With a well-established supply of thermal services to refractory installers and furnace manufacturers worldwide, the company was ideally situated when presented with the opportunity to expand the services and products on offer to customers.
Following the acquisition of Sutton Refractory Services Ltd in the summer of 2015, Thermal Hire Ltd has ventured on a determined expansion of capability in this market, culminating in the construction of a new workshop at the Wigan site and the installation of a Numalliance Robomac 216 CNC machine.
UN-PARALLELED DESIGN
As well as the investment in this new machinery the company has looked to retain Sutton Refractory Services’ good name in small to medium production runs and specialised products by installing a number of traditional presses, lathes, saws, tooling and associated equipment.
Refractory anchors, as the name suggests, are used to hold installed refractory products to the shell of the item being lined.
They come in all shapes and sizes, but many standard formations are “V” and “Y” types, some with waves formed, depending on the type of castable and requirement of the installation.
